Katie has always had a deep rooted love for animals that started before she could walk. She grew up with many animals of all shapes and sizes. Her passion for caring for animals blossomed even further when she graduated from Vermont Technical college in 2013 with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology.

Katie quickly learned that her calling was within the surgical suite. She has primarily worked as a surgical technician throughout her career. Her favorite aspects of the job are dentistry and phlebotomy.

When she is not working she can be found hiking in the woods with her son and her dogs Annie and Alice, fishing in her kayak, or at home practicing pyrography. Although if you ask her cat Karol, she would clarify that Katie’s main job is replenishing her food dish.
